Setup guide

From zero to live tables in six steps. You can buy standard NFC tags anywhere β€” here's how to set them up for escusi.

  1. 1Step 1

    Subscribe and add your venue

Create your account, start your subscription, and add your restaurant or hotel on the dashboard. This activates your venue for guests. And here's the nice part: your guests may already have the escusi app β€” one install works at every escusi venue in the world.

  2. 2Step 2

    Add your tables or rooms

Create each table or room in the dashboard. Every one gets its own unique link β€” that link is what you'll write to its tag.

  3. 3Step 3

Buy NFC tags β€” any brand works

Any standard NTAG213 (or similar) NFC sticker works; they cost cents apiece online. For tables, choose durable PVC stickers rather than paper ones β€” they survive daily wiping. Mounting on metal? Get "on-metal" tags; regular ones don't scan on metal surfaces.

  4. 4Step 4

    Write each tag

Easiest way: the escusi Admin app. Open your tables list, tap Write on a table's row, hold the phone to the tag β€” done, the tag is written. Prefer another tool? Copy the table's link from the dashboard and write it with any NFC-writer app, like NFC Tools.

  5. 5Step 5

    Stick it and tap-test

Place the tag where guests will see it, then tap it with a phone to confirm the right table comes up. Always test before protecting the tag.

  6. 6Step 6

    Protect the tag (optional)

Want to make sure nobody rewrites your tags? NFC Tools β€” a free third-party app (App Store, Google Play) β€” gives you two options. Password-protect: the tag stays rewritable, but only by you β€” store the password somewhere safe, because a forgotten password is permanent. Lock: the tag becomes permanently read-only β€” do this only after tap-testing. Either way, guests scan the tag normally.
